A Fairytale in the Mountains | Nick & Michayla’s Surprise Ellijay Ga Proposal

Some evenings feel like they’re pulled straight from the pages of a fairytale, and this one was exactly that. Nick reached out to me with the sweetest plan to surprise his love, Michayla, and every detail came together in the most beautiful way. The mountains were glowing with autumn color, the air was crisp, and the whole moment felt like something out of a dream.

They had never taken photos together before, but you would never know it. From the very first frame, they were completely at ease — laughing, holding each other close, and soaking in every second. There’s something so special about photographing two people who are simply being themselves, caught up in the joy of the moment.

When Nick dropped to one knee and Michayla turned around, the world seemed to pause. Her reaction said it all — pure surprise, joy, and love. It was one of those moments that makes you forget everything else and just feel.

It’s days like this that remind me why I love what I do. Being able to document these once-in-a-lifetime memories is such an honor, and I’m endlessly grateful for the couples who trust me to capture their story.
