A Chilly Day in Ellijay

There is something about winter in the North Georgia mountains that makes everything feel a little quieter and more romantic. Sarah and Trevor met me at one of my favorite mountain overlook areas in Ellijay, Georgia for a cozy December couples session.

It was cold that day, so instead of staying out on the mountain for a full session, we kept things short and sweet with a mini session. And honestly, sometimes that is all you need. We spent our time cuddling up, laughing, moving around to stay warm, and soaking in the last bit of golden light hitting the Blue Ridge Mountains behind us.

Winter has such a different feel in Ellijay. The bare trees open up the mountain views, the colors become softer and earthier, and everything has this peaceful, almost nostalgic feeling that photographs beautifully.
